I love Central Asian Food. As a little kid growing in Tashkent, I remember the smell of fresh shashliks (kababs) and samsa (meat pies) when my mother took me shopping with her to the market. I live in America now even though there's a lot of Afghan food available in Washington DC which reminds me of home food in  Uzbekistan it is still rare that I eat it.

When I go to New York City I never miss a chance to go and eat at an Uzbek restaurant. This blog is my attempt to bring the best recipes from Central Asia to American public. I know that most Americans who live in the big cities have experienced some of the food, but Central Asia is still a mystery to the most Americans. I am an Uzbek American and I want to welcome you to my blog. I will share the best recipes from all over the Central Asia. It is my passion to bring the taste of Central Asia to your home.
